We're a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to find loving, permanent homes for cats and kittens in the National Capital Region.

All of our cats and kittens are fully vetted, tested, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. They come from area shelters, managed colonies, and from people who can no longer care for them.

Are You Ready to Adopt will help you figure out if you and your family are in the right time and place to adopt a cat. It will also tell you more about our adoption process. We've had so many wonderful adoptions, but a few recent ones stand out in our Spotlight Adoption section.

AdvoCATs, Inc., is a nonprofit group. Adoption fees and donations are used to cover our expenses including veterinary fees, medications, food, litter, cat toys, laundry and cleaning, and all the other things we need to keep our adoptees healthy and happy until they find their permanent home.
